I try not to mix technology and business in my posts but this is an exception. Like many other people, I watch the technology companies and look for trends in upcoming products. And, all of these companies require innovation to stay competitive. Apple is no exception.
The cover image is the logo that is slightly pinched and that is what I see for this powerhouse company. Remember, not all of their products are Apple innovations, but the result of buying and merging with other companies for their technology. I have mentioned before the fact that they acquired Siri from Nuance, and recently bought Motorola, probably for not only the phone technology, but for the huge library of patents.
It is heavily rumored that iTV will be the next product and there is good evidence that it likely to be true. Here is a link to the iTV question from a UK website. But, I am more interested in the longer term prospects for Apple and I have some strange and bizarre thoughts.
It is widely reported that Apple is sitting on over 117 billion dollars in cash, and they are not alone in the excess cash department. So, What would be a good investment for the long term? I say buy a network and make it a good, topnotch product. Sprint is struggling and would likely be a choice. I doubt that Apple would start from scratch as that could be a money pit. But a network like sprint or others could be reworked and be very successful for Apple. So, in a year or two, we can all look back and I will have been correct. Or....
